The irony of a song called “I Aint Thinkin Bout You” being completely centered around thinking about this person you’re supposed to be shunning is not lost on me lol.

Instrumental is banging and Miss has a pretty tone out the gate. Women that can layer vocal harmonies are a treasure, but BLACK women that can do it need to be both protected and studied for the advancement of society.

“You dont even cross my mind, I don’t even waste my time”. Whooo, preACH. I feel you girl. This prehook is going CRAZY. I’m reminded of Amerie. Bonus point for Yung Miss also co-producing this bop with LadyKeyz.

Second verse had such a nice start but the 808 kinda overwhelmed her vocal. “We’ve been here before, knocking on my door, but i don’t wanna talk no MORE”. I don’t know who this person is but LEAVE HER ALONE. You got this song WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?! Back to pre-hook and hook… it seems like we’re done. Good on them both for choosing to end it sans drums and some nice keyboard soloing at the end for a marked finish.

Yung Miss is a staple vocalist and writer in the Inland Empire and this track is a reinforcement of that fact. Smooth delivery, introspective lyrics and a catchy refrain for the love unlucky in life. Not reinventing the wheel, but certainly making sure the ride is comfortable. Give this one a spin (or three).
